WHO WE ARE
The Fort Wayne Tänzer are a local German folk dance troupe based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, dedicated to preserving and sharing German heritage through traditional dance and cultural performance. The group has proudly performed at Fort Wayne GermanFest since 2012, entertaining audiences with energy, and community spirit. We are currently welcoming new members ages 5 and up, and no prior dance experience is necessary. The Tänzer are also grateful for the encouragement and support of the community, whether through attendance, sponsorship, or donations. Patrice Fox - Director
Patrice Fox is the director of the Fort Wayne Tänzer. She brings enthusiasm, leadership, and a deep appreciation for German culture to the group. Under her direction, the Tänzer have grown into a vibrant young dance organization dedicated to preserving traditional German folk dance and heritage. Patrice is passionate about creating opportunities for youth to connect through music, dance, and cultural celebration.

Fort Wayne Tänzer Welcomed into Gauverband Nordamerika
A Historic First for an Indiana Verein (Club)
The Fort Wayne Tänzer Verein has officially been welcomed into the Gauverband Nordamerika, marking a historic milestone as the first Verein from Indiana to join the organization. Dedicated to preserving and celebrating German heritage through traditional dance, music, and culture. Their inclusion in the Gauverband strengthens cultural connections across North America and opens new opportunities for participation in festivals, performances, and youth exchange. The Fort Wayne Tänzer proudly looks forward to representing Indiana and sharing its passion for German traditions with fellow Vereine.
